Terms of Service
Last updated 1 August 2026
These terms cover your use of QuietCut, an iPhone and iPad app published by Bulpara. By using the app you agree to them.
What the app does
QuietCut analyses a video or audio file you choose, proposes cuts where it detects silence, and — after you approve them — writes a trimmed copy. All processing happens on your device.
Your content is yours
You keep every right to the files you import and export. Bulpara claims no ownership, licence or interest in them, and cannot access them: they never leave your device.
You are responsible for having the right to edit the files you use QuietCut on.
Subscriptions
- QuietCut is free to use with one export per day and files up to 3 minutes.
- Premium is $5.99/month or $29.99/year. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Manage or cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
- If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Bulpara. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Acceptable use
Don't use QuietCut to edit material you have no right to edit, and don't attempt to reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app itself.
What we don't promise
QuietCut detects silence automatically, and automatic detection is never perfect. It is built to err toward cutting too little rather than too much, and it shows you every proposed cut before applying it — but you are the one who approves the result.
Keep your original files. The app writes a new file and never modifies your original, but you should not rely on any software as your only copy of something you care about.
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Bulpara is not liable for lost work, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your country.
Third-party components
QuietCut bundles the Silero VAD model, used under the MIT licence (© Silero Team). Attribution is also shown in the app under Settings → Licenses.
Changes
These terms may change; the current version always lives at this address with its date. If a change is significant it will be noted in the app's release notes.
